| Low-cost RAS system
launched Symicron, provider of PC WAN systems, has released a low-cost RAS system for corporate homeworkers. Using purpose-designed WAN adapters, Symicron can create a multi-user VPN using ISDN for corporate homeworkers. The system uses ISDN primary rate circuits at the centre and a low-cost basic rate ISDN at the homeworkers’ sites. As a further enhancement, the RAS service can be linked via the Internet using ISDN and Symicron’s Offsite service. This allows the ISDN central NT-RAS site to be called from the Internet using Offsite’s patented techniques. |
